Hi guys,
I’m back with a new post today! I’m super excited to share with you guys my new purchase…..I recently purchased the Naomi Booties by MIA and I absolutely love them!!!! They are faux leather upper in a dress bootie style with a round apron toe and a D-ring lace-up front with tassel tie accents. When I saw them in the store, I almost DIED! The best part about them, they were not pricy. I got them for $60 at Loehmann’s and they are selling for $90 online, which is the regular price. I definitely SCORED getting them from Loehmann’s. A little tassel and a lot of height made them a MUST have.....
Some photos of them below.....xx
Hot, right?

Moi File: Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Celebration
Hello All,
The past two weeks has been pretty crazy for me. My sisters celebrated their birthdays, which are four days apart. It was two weeks full of love, drinking, laughing, and partying. Can you say CHAOS! The highlight for me was going to Washington DC. While in DC, my sisters and I hit up some clubs and went sightseeing. DC is absolutely beautiful but PRICEY! It's definitely not a place I would want to live in. My two sisters and I went there for the Martin Luther King Jr memorial celebration and for my sister Natacha’s birthday because her birthday was that weekend. President Obama was there with his family as the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. National Memorial was officially unveiled. A dedication ceremony was held at the Washington Mall. Rev. Al Sharpton; the Rev. Joseph Lowery; actresses Cicely Tyson, Diahann Carroll and Aretha Franklin all was there to share the experience. The memorial and the celebration was AMAZING and I’m glad I was there with them to experience it. Thanks to my sister Natacha for coordinating the “little Vacation”, that what she called it!
Check out a couple photos of the monument and my sisters and I....
Here we're again coming from dinner. From left to right is my sister Natacha, Adeline, and me! My skirt and shirt are from H&M and my shoes are Ninewest!

Femme Noire in Fashion File: New Comer Tika Sumpter
Hi All.
It’s been about a week since a posted anything on here. It has been a crazy couple of weeks for me. Anyway, this post is not about me. I’m here to talk about Hollywood new comer Tika Sumpter. Ms. Sumpter came out of nowhere strutting her stuff on every red carpet. I really didn’t know who she was until she appeared on a couple episodes of the hit show The Game on BET and later I found out she was on Gossip Girls as well. I didn’t really follow the show so, I was unaware she was on it. I love her style so, I kind of look out for her on every red carpet to see what she'll wear. Her beauty is effortless and she makes being a fashionista look so damn EASY! She is definitely one to look out for in the Hollywood circuit.
Below are some great looks of hers I love!
This blue print Tracy Reese dress is EVERYTHING!
OMG, this tuxedo number just set me free!
This Herve Leger woven number had every chick in the game envying Ms. Sumpter.

Tres chic! The harem pants, orange leather jacket, and the leopard shoes are such a great combination!

Fashion File: Faux Fur Vest
Hello All,
Faux Fur Vests are a huge trend this fall and they can easily upgrade your look! They are a little impractical and maybe out of style next fall but they are absolutely FABULOUS nonetheless. They are the ultimate layering statement piece. Fur vest are very simple to just throw over legging, with a long sleeve tee and you’re good to go! I’m thinking about getting one but I’m not too sure if I should but we’ll see!!

Get in to IT!

Femme Noire in Fashion File: Tracee Ellis Ross
Hello All,
Tracee Ellis Ross has great style. She has one of those around the way girl vibes and not to mention she is absolutely STUNNING! Her look and style are so effortless. I noticed Tracee when she was part of the cast for a sketch comedy show on MTV, called “The Lyricist Lounge Show”. I thought she was extremely funny, especially in the physical comedy department. I fell in love with her style on the hit show “Girlfriends”. The show’s stylist really understood her body;Every week I would tune in just to see what she was going to wear and of course, for her superb acting. From that point on, I began to follow her style off the small screen. Her character on the show and her pretty much shared similar styles. They both are strong, sophisticated, sexy, and very chic. What I love about Tracee is that, she knows what works for her. Her style is timeless, you rarely see her in trends. The kind of beauty she possesses is CLASSIC! She actually has a new show coming out this month which, I can’t wait for. It’s called Reed between the Lines on BET.
Check below for some of my favorite looks from her....

Trend File: Fall/Fashion Trend
Hello All!
Is Leopard print the new neutral? Before people would think twice before pairing Leopard print with any other color but black. With leopard print being everywhere this fall, its proven it can go with just about anything. The trick to rocking leopard print is to keep it SIMPLE, you can't over do it. Its best to wear one piece at a time.

Are you fierce enough to rock leopard print this fall?!!?
